Description

This Workshop is held at Whole World Arts in MarketFair Mall. Celebrate Halloween and West Windor's history with the War of the Worlds broadcast by creating an out of this world fashion shirt! We will cut, paint, and hand sew a fashion shirt, complete with neon colors and pizazz! Then at 2 pm, we will hold a public fashion show to show off our work on a runway in the center court of MarketFair!
 


Covid Protocols: Classes and workshops held in all spaces at the art center and Whole World Arts utilize an HVAC system supplemented with portable HEPA filtration systems. Fresh air is introduced whenever possible. Classes are spaced appropriately to allow 3 - 6 ft. of social distancing. Acrylic barriers are utilized, as needed. Mask wearing is strongly encouraged for all adults regardless of vaccination status, and required for all youth classes. All our staff and Teaching Artists have been vaccinated. High-touch surfaces are wiped down regularly using certified cleaning agents. Hand sanitizer is available in all classrooms. Youth visual arts classes have their own sanitized art supplies to be used.


About the Teaching Artist  
 

Lisa received a BFA in Fashion Design and Illustration in Brooklyn at Pratt Institute. Her first job out of college was creating and styling windows display for Macy’s NY. After Leaving Macy’s, she started a business in fashion design and created many fashion illustrations for publications such as WWD, DNR, Vogue as well as many design and fabric companies such as Cotton Inc., Speedo, Abercrombie & Fitch.

Lisa is currently a Visiting Associate Professor at Pratt Institue and was previously an Adjunct at Parsons School of Design within the Fashion Design Departments. After relocating to NJ she started teaching at Philadelphia University and working as Program Coordinator and Senior Adjunct Professor in the Fashion Department at Rowan College at Burlington County. Lisa has an extensive knowledge in teaching Textiles, History of Fashion Design, and Fashion Illustration. She has created many fashion workshops for teens and youth interested in fashion.
