Description

Print, ink, repeat! Discover the excitement of printmaking in this fun class led by local printmaker Sue Fox Mitrano. Sue will guide you through the entire process from drawing to carving and printing. Make your own greeting cards, invitations, and prints to frame or share. We’ll even print on clothing!

Materials fee of $30 due on first day. Students will also have the option to print on cloth the last day, which is not included in the materials fee. The teaching artist will recommend types of clothing or cloth that students can either bring from home or purchase.

Covid Protocols: At this time, mask wearing is optional. If COVID cases increase at any point and we are recommended by local health organizations, we may return to mandatory mask wearing. Classes and workshops held in all spaces at the art center utilize an HVAC system supplemented with portable HEPA filtration systems. Fresh air is introduced whenever possible. Classes are spaced appropriately to allow 3 - 6 ft. of social distancing. All our staff and Teaching Artists have been vaccinated. High-touch surfaces are wiped down regularly using certified cleaning agents. Hand sanitizer is available in all classrooms. 

About the Teaching Artist

A native of West Windsor, Susan Mitrano is a certified K-12 Art Teacher who has taught in Princeton, Bridgewater and Montgomery schools as well as community art centers in NJ and PA.  She has a BFA from Syracuse University in graphic design with a minor in photography.  After a 15-year career as a designer and art director, Ms. Mitrano earned her BA in Art Education at The College of NJ.  She is long time watercolorist, studying with Robert O’Brien, AWS in Vermont and others locally.  She studied ceramics with Ursula Kaplowitz and enjoys working in many kinds of clay.  She is also an avid printmaker and loves to share her knowledge of art history and art-making with the children she teaches.
