Category

Adult Classes + Workshops

Location

West Windsor Arts
952 Alexander Road
West Windsor, NJ 08550

Summary

Autumn can mean apple-picking, farmers’ markets, crisp afternoons, and hiking trails beneath brilliantly colored leaves. It can also be the season of haunted houses, black cats, glowing jack-o’-lanterns, and moonlit gravestones. Whether you’re drawn to the warmth and abundance of the harvest or the mystery and magic of Halloween, this workshop invites you to celebrate the side of autumn that inspires you most, or even combine both in your artwork.

Students will create two pieces during the workshop: one small free-standing sculpture made from found objects and one wall-hanging assemblage. Instruction in attachment techniques will be provided, with tools and adhesives available for use in class. Bases, frames, LED lights, and a wide variety of seasonal and thematic materials will be supplied, though you are encouraged to bring any special objects, keepsakes, or found materials you would like to incorporate into your work. Both beginners and returning students are welcome. Projects are individualized, allowing each participant to work at their own pace while exploring their own creative vision.

A $10 materials fee, payable in cash to the instructor is due at the first class.
