Description
Digital Illustration is now online. This class will provide children a studio experience from their own home. All lessons will be led by our Teaching Artist Rashad Davis and allow your child to socialize with other students in the class. You must have internet on a device with a built in camera to participate. In this class, demonstartions and creative promptswe will be utilized to explore digital painting, comic books, book illustration and more. See sketches and stories come to life digitally! If you have a story to tell, come and learn the concepts of digital illustration and see where your imagination takes you!
Supplies Needed:
ProCreate application to be downloaded on a Tablet or touch laptop, digital pencil (optional), colored pencials, colored markers, sharpies or black pens, paper for sketching
*If you are unable to purchase ProCreate, you can also use a sketch pad or other application on your tablet or laptop
About the Teaching Artist
Rashad Davis is an award-winning author/illustrator who explores themes like empathy, diversity, magic, and fantasy in his own work. He received his degree in Anthropology and Chinese Language and Culture at Tufts University and is finishing his Masters of Arts in Animation at Savannah College of Art and Design. He has experience as an Illustrator and Graphic Designer at the American Reading Company and has been a guest lecturer and workshop instructor at NJ area schools, Tufts University, Young Audiences of NJ, and Please Touch Museum.
