Event Registration

Through the practice of still life drawing, artists have long honed their technical skills and accuracy in capturing objects true to life. Whether you are new to art or a seasoned artist, drawing still life objects is a great way to either begin your art practice or strengthen your drawing skills. In this class, students of all levels will have the opportunity to learn various drawing techniques important to still life drawing. These include basic shapes, measuring, light, shadow, perspective, proportion, and composition. We will focus on single object and multiple object compositions. Photography of still life arrangements created in class and outside of class will be allowed and encouraged.
