Artist Statement: Painting in oils has always been my passion. I love the art of plein art painting and still life. At times I may take photos of flowers outdoors and paint in the studio. In my class I like to present still life set ups of real flowers or fruits for my students to paint from direct observation, noting the brilliant colors, shapes and values.
