mixed media wall sculpture, with gilded bees.

Artist Statement: Bee populations are plummeting, and this sculpture honors them with the use of gold, often used to signify importance. It takes the form of a geode, symbolizing nature's gifts to us.

Bio: My earliest memories are of drawing. As I child I had private drawing lessons for awhile. I attended Illinois State University, where I received my Bachelor's in Art Education, and my MS in Art Studio. I ran Joy Kreves Fine Art Gallery in Frenchtown, NJ from 1986-1990, where I taught privately. I have exhibited in most of the area's juried and many invitational exhibitions, and had several solo exhibitions including one at Rider University Art Gallery in 2010, and one at The Silva Gallery at The Pennington School in 2006. I am currently a member of The Princeton Artists Alliance, & Roots Artists Alliance, and work from my Ewing studio, Suburban Frontier.
