Description
Niagara Falls by Audrey Jakab & Alejandro Berlin
Medium: wood with photo, metal, paint
17.5 x 9.5 inches
Artist Statement: Niagara Falls Above the faded background of the past the bright birds playfully whirl towards an unknown destination. Both Alejandro and I enjoy the process of giving ‘new life’ to old objects. When I found this souvenir of Niagara Falls in a thrift store, I was intrigued with its perspective and I knew we could do something interesting with it. From our collections, we found some flat metal birds and Alejandro and I collaborated on the composition and physical details to complete this piece.
