Artist Statement: One of many diners throughout the state where you can get whatever you want any time you want it. This shiny steel clad diner is truly a hometown classic. One that I frequented many times.
Jersey Inspiration: This image was taken in Andover, NJ
Bio: Dave Magyar is a native of New Jersey currently living in Delaware. He completed his undergraduate studies at Montclair State and received a BA in fine arts and certification in art education. In 1976, he received a MFA degree from Pratt Institute where he majored in printmaking. From 1970–2004, Dave pursued a career in art education. Since 2005 he has been actively showing his work in a variety of juried group exhibits at galleries and museums in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Maryland and Delaware. He has also had work included in three literary publications: Rowan University’s Glassworks Magazine, Delaware Art Museum’s Dreamstreets no 51 and Light—A Journal of Photography & Poetry as well as The Photo Review’s 2021 International Photography Competition Winners Gallery.
