Artist Statement: This is a collage made from a vintage photography of my grandmother at the Jersey shore in the 1920s
Jersey Inspiration: I wanted to create a sense of memory with this piece by layering simple, modern shapes over the vintage photograph.
Bio: Kate Pollack is a lifelong resident of Lawrenceville, NJ. Her art career began in Hopewell where she studied Monart under the late Judy Gimbel. Kate later went on to learn photography from friends and family. Today, she experiments with all different mediums and enjoys working on art projects alongside her children.
