Artist Statement: "Pipe Down" depicts a majestic sandpiper perched on a sunlit beach, bringing the perfect blend of elegance and joy to one's abode.
Jersey Inspiration: It isn't summer at the Manasquan inlet beach until you see a pair of little piper legs whizzing by. As an artist, I appreciate "slow living," and how ironic it is that this fast-paced feathered friend stops me in my tracks every time.
Bio: Born and raised at the Jersey Shore, acrylic artist Yvonne Rondinone is influenced by her coastal roots. Her pieces embody the spirit of the New Jersey landscape -- a cross-section of sand and soil, and a vision of serenity and rusticality. Yvonne won first place during the 2023 Allentown Spring Stroll Artwalk for her piece, "A Lazy Day For Grazin'."
