Artist Statement: This piece is about joy... the joy of creative practice and being present for whatever arises.
Bio: Art is a spiritual practice as much as a creative endeavor; the two aspects merge together to guide the work. I draw on meditation practices and contemplation as a jumping off point for creating imagery and narratives related to Buddhist philosophy, the interconnectedness of the natural world, and what it means to be human. The newest work, shown here, represents the peace of spiritual refuge. My work has been exhibited at the State Museum of Pennsylvania and various regional galleries and group shows. I am available to teach meditation classes and art workshops for individuals and groups.
