Beat by Rooma Sehar
acrylic on canvas
12 x 16 inches
Artist Statement: Beat" is more than just a painting; it's a visual execution of the music that inspired its every brushstroke and drop of color.
I used a squeezing bottle for most of the artwork and reserved the brushes for the background. I used a mix of wet and dry techniques, creating contrast of shine and texture.
But the true magic happened at the center of the canvas. I let the music guide my hand and play with a squeezing bottle. The gentle and forceful movement, like different music beats, shaped the painting. The title" Beat" encapsulates the disconnection between art and music.
