Wisteria at Morven Museum by Lori Langsner
oil on canvas
11 x 14 inches
Artist Statement: The Morven Museum in Princeton comes alive with color during the early part of May. One of the main attractions is the front porch covered with an abundance of beautifully colored wisteria. The many shade of purple to lilac are just spectacular for artists who are encouraged to come and paint en plein air.
Bio: A resident of West Windsor, Lori Langsner has had a rewarding career in arts education in NYC Public Schools. Continuing her studies at Art Students League, Princeton Arts Council, and Mercer County Community College, her focus is “en plein air” landscape painting in oils, as well as floral and fruit still lifes. Becoming one with nature and her surroundings, gentle breezes, quiet sounds, and fresh air all create a wonderful inner peace. With dancing brushstrokes across her canvas, she is able to express a moment in time.Lori’s paintings have currently been on view at many local art venues and presently she teaches “Oil Painting for All” to adults at West Windsor Arts Council.
