Artist Statement: I am a jewelry designer who creates handcrafted, one-of-a-kind pieces using the highest quality genuine gemstones and gold-filled components. I take pride in hand-picking each gemstone used for all of my pieces. I particularly love making unique gemstone beaded necklaces that are hand-strung and hand-knotted on silk thread. My necklaces are truly statement pieces that will make the person wearing the necklace feel confident and empowered. Gemstones have natural healing properties and are said to balance both the mind and the body.
I grew up surrounded by gemstones. My father is a world-renowned lapidary artist and has been hand carving semi-precious stones for over 30 years. I am continually amazed at his passion for the world of gems. This career has allowed him to travel over the entire globe and meet some of the most interesting people.
Bio: I am a New Jersey native who is a banker by day, a part-time college student at night, and a full-time mom 24/7. I grew up in Cape May and I am inspired by nature and all the beautiful colors that surround us. I love spending time with my family, particularly going to the beach, or to Phillies games. I also love hanging with my 2 year old pup, Henry. He is a Chihuahua mixed breed and has the personality of a human : ) My husband and I enjoy going to comedy shows and concerts whenever our busy schedules allow us to go out and have fun!
