Artist Statement: Teddy bears always seem to reach out to the viewer, hoping to be picked up and hugged. I asked a friend to suggest a background color: she said blue. How about the foreground: yellow, she said. Ironically, I finished this painting the day before the war in Ukraine broke out. So now, the painting has a double meaning.
Bio: I am a retiree who has found time to take classes and pursue a long-ago put-aside passion for painting. I continue to explore and expand and enjoy it.
