Artist Statement: Confidence is a human theme many are in search to embody. It looks different on each person. In this work, I used the contrast between two hues of pink to display boldness and meekness. This allows the viewer to embrace the character of colors.
Bio: Brandie Dickens is an abstract artist based in Middlesex, NJ. She approaches art with a focus on vibrant colors, whimsical themes and phrases, as an avenue to express the presence of joy, love, hope, and connectivity. She reflects on her faith, as a way to connect with others from all walks of life. Her abstract work is limitless, as abstraction allows the freedom to explore different techniques, possibilities with resin, alcohol ink, acrylic, and other mediums.
