Artist Statement: I am very thankful to have the opportunity to travel different cities around the world. Last spring, we visited Giverny, France. We toured Monet's home and gardens. The tulips were in bloom and I especially loved the scene of bright, bold, vibrant flowers.
Bio: I have had the privilege of participating in oil painting classes at the Center for over 10 years. I fell in love with oil painting because it allows one to transform their thoughts and feelings in living color onto the canvas. My art has been featured in several art shows at the Center, including a recent self-portrait from 2023. I enjoy exploring new techniques and colors with my teacher, mentor and friend, Zakia Ahmed and look forward more classes with her in the Spring.
