Artist Statement: In thinking about the potential outcome of the coming presidential election, or the state of the world with all of the wars and all the environmental destruction, not to mention viruses, some of us dream about leaving the planet!

Bio: Ilene Dube is a writer, artist, producer, and curator.

She has curated exhibitions for The Trenton City Museum at Ellarslie and Morven Museum & Garden, coinciding with subjects she produced documentaries on, and is a producer for the Emmy-winning State of the Arts PBS show. Her journalism has been published in national media, her short fiction in dozens of literary journals, and her artwork is in various collections, including the J. Seward Johnson Jr. estate. Awards include a Mercer County Purchase Prize and a Mercer County Senior Art Show first place for mixed media. Ilene Dube was among the founders of the West Windsor Arts Council and served as its president when the council moved into its home at the Princeton Junction firehouse.

Her artwork has been exhibited at Phillip's Mill in New Hope, Pennsylvania; Hobart Art in the Native Landscape, Hopewell Tour des Arts, Prallsville Mills/ArtsBridge, Trenton Artists Workshop Association at the Trenton Free Public Library, Straube Center, Monmouth Museum, the Gallery at Mercer County Community College, Ellarslie Not Quite Open and Salon de Refuses, Artworks Trenton, Arts Council of Princeton, ArtJam, Hopewell Valley Arts Council, Beyond Pink at MarketFair, Merwick Care & Rehabilitation, Suburban Frontier, Plainsboro Library, Ficus restaurant, Hopewell Bistro, WOW Gallery Princeton, and at West Windsor Arts since 2010.
