Artist Statement: This January I set a goal of working on my painting techniques. I concentrated on simplify the landscapes with broad shapes of color, develop stronger more cohesive color relationships, and using a limited pallet. “Summer Field” is a balance of warm and cool shades in complementary colors.

The artist has lived in Roosevelt, New Jersey since 1990. She paints in bright impressionistic colors.
These works are an exploration of a specific place and time. The play of color and light in these works portray her emotional reaction to this environment.
The Artist has an MFA in Painting from American University. She is a Noyes member artist and has been active in community art shows. In 2021 she was an artist in resident in Homestead National Historic Park.
