Artist Statement: After working on another project, I noticed I created an interesting abstract design on the cloth that I was using to wipe and dab excess paint from my brushes. Being a big fan of spontaneity, I liked this Accidental Art – so I have left my mark accidentally but also with pleasure. And as the orientation is personal preference (and the frame is square), if one gets bored viewing it in one direction it can always be enjoyed sideways, upside down or as a diamond.
Bio: I am a self-taught artist painting and creating found object sculpture for fun. I have actually sold one painting in 2021 at the Ellarslie Open! I was born and raised in West Windsor. I attended Vassar College (AB Political Science) and Mercer County Community College ( AA Computer Science) and worked as a programmer at private companies and for the NJ Department of Human Services until my retirement in 2021.
