Artist Statement: Girl on Fire is a vibrant and dynamic mixed media composition inspired by Alicia Key's song, "This Girl is On Fire." It represents the artist in her studio, passionately developing creative ideas. Integrating various textures, patterns, and collage elements, this artwork forms an abstract scene that captures the artist's creative journey.
Bio: As an abstract painter, collage and mixed media artist, my work is a harmonious fusion of textured and handmade papers, fabrics and unique ephemera from household items, fairs, and antique shops. Through their integration, a captivating low lying relief is formed. With acrylic as my medium of choice, my paintings exude intuitive and expressive movements, with vibrant colors and textures. Other pursuits of artistic process include water marble, monoprints, encaustic and fluid painting. Also, I have been exhibiting since 2010 and have won awards.
