Artist Statement: In my diptych art "Chemistry of Art" took inspiration from my chemistry studies. Each artwork holds my thoughts and memories. The hexagon shapes represent chemical elements, but this painting goes beyond just chemistry. It's like mixing molecules to create compounds, similar to blending colors in art to get different shades. Just like a cool experiment, this artwork captures the mix of elements, creating something interesting. I created depth with my mark-making and shapes, turning this piece into a captivating experiment, capturing the strong interplay of elements.
Bio: I am Rooma Sabir, wife and mother of 3 kids. I'm a self-taught abstract artist residing in Robbinsville, New Jersey. I began my artistic journey in 2018 and have spent a significant amount of time honing my craft. Alongside my passion for art, my hobbies include reading books, Gardening, listening to music, cooking, and traveling. I've had the privilege of showcasing my artwork in 14 exhibitions. My art delves into the interplay of color and shapes to convey emotions and ideas. I fearlessly experiment with various mediums like acrylics and watercolors to express my feelings and aspirations through my paintings.
I am inspired by many known artists like Jackson Pollock, Wassily Kandinsky and Franz Klien. They all gave me courage and freedom to paint with my own style without any boundaries.
