Artist Statement: The geisha is leaving her mark on the world with her dance. She is inspiring the people with her dance. She is continuing the tradition of traditional dance and performance.
Bio: Jane Yuan received her MFA in Studio Art from San Francisco Art Institute in 2020. She specializes in drawing and painting. She also received a BA in French from Cornell University in 2016. She has exhibited with Solas Studio, New Amsterdam School, and many others. In her graduate artwork, she explored Japanese and Chinese mythologies. She is interested in Asian identities.
