Statement: This piece captures a series of intricately designed glass spheres. Each sphere features unique patterns, from geometric motifs and starburst designs to abstract images embedded within. The piece plays with light, dark, and color interplay, highlighting the clarity and realism of these decorative glass balls. My focus was on rendering the perception and reflection of glass, a process that was both challenging and rewarding, especially when capturing the spherical shapes and their reflective qualities.
Bio: Ritu is a Realism inspired Representational artist. Her passion for becoming a full time artist led her to start learning realism techniques in an atelier setting. She trained extensively in traditional painting and glazing techniques of the 19th century artists. She works primarily with oils and graphite. Her goal is to follow her creative instincts and create contemporary artwork that touches the lives of people in a meaningful and memorable way. She has been in group exhibitions and commissioned works for private collectors.
