Statement: Inspired by a trip to the Met Cloisters in March, this piece evokes the last late snow clinging to the stones as the first spring flowers are starting to emerge. I hope it also conveys a hint of the timeless magic of that special place...where fairy tale animals might result from the corners of the tapestries to frolic in the gardens at dawn.
Bio: Meta Dunkly Arnold teaches classes in mixed media and assemblage for kids and adults here at the West Windsor Arts Center and at Art Sparks Studio in Hopewell. Her work explores unexpected connections through lighting, layers, and kinetic and interactive features that invite the viewer to join her process of discovery.
