Statement: Visiting Peggy’s Cove,Halifax and spotting this weathered remnant of a small boat and the textures and colors of the cottages behind it,I knew this would be an interesting challenge to create.
Bio: After retirement 8 years ago,time allowed me to revisit my everlasting passion to create art.A degree in Fine Arts,plus additional classes through the years,had been on my waiting list!To that end, I have had two solo exhibitions,been in several juried shows and have proudly been awarded prizes in Middlesex County.Using pastels,watercolor and acrylics, my goal is to visually interpret and create stories about the images that engage me. My goal is to use media to evoke velvety surfaces of light and color values.Ultimately,it is the joy that painting brings to my life that is everything to me.
