Statement: Having an academic background of Architecture, I tend to search for symmetry in nature as inspiration for my works. I find the appearance of the Fibonacci sequence in plants, flowers and seeds very fascinating. The blend of the asymmetry of every petal combined with the detailed, meticulous swirl of the sequence makes the flowers even more appealing. This piece is a part of my series called 'Math gone Wild'.

Bio: Traveling the world, finding beauty in details and expressing it through various mediums are some of my favorite things to do and that has been a huge highlight of my career. Growing up in an Indian family rich in art, combined with my academic background of architecture has helped me create my own style of art. I started with drawing portraits for friends as commission, slowly moving on to creating my own collection and presenting it in shows nationally and internationally.

In fact, having lived in so many parts of the world and moving further away from my hometown has brought me closer to my roots. Every piece of my work has a reflection of my roots or a moment that would take me back to reminiscing the tiny details of the time that made me smile and gave me pleasure that cannot be compared with anything else in this world. My works are like a story book reminding me how simple this life can be if we choose to let it. My pieces have made me realize the importance of home and who I am; the art I create keeps me grounded and my identity is the reason I make my art. Art has influenced and changed the way I live, but art is also the reason I can never forget who I truly am.
