Free from constraints, it embraces a fearless exploration of untethered thought, embracing love and a sense of being in relation to oneself and the community.

Artist Statement: Spriha is a narrative mixed media artist living in Montgomery, New Jersey. Driven by a passion for organic forms, Spriha endeavors to breathe life onto canvases through her unique approach to mixed media. She uses iconic symbolism to exemplify concepts close to her heart that are influenced by personal, societal, and environmental changes. Strongly influenced by her Indian cultural roots she is fearless in her use of colors and weaves them into her creations.

Nature, in all its intricate beauty, serves as her primary muse. A commitment to sustainability is evident in her art, as found objects find new purpose and meaning in the creation of her pieces, echoing a philosophy of repurposing and rejuvenation. Practicing intuitive painting, Spriha's work becomes a journey through layers of texture, rhythm, and movement—a profound interpretation of the natural world. Layering acrylic paints with an array of elements such as modeling paste, gels, tree bark, cheesecloth, and paper, she crafts compositions that possess both depth and fluidity giving a second life to them. Having a tactile quality to her work she invites you to view her creations with all senses engaged at their fullest. Every piece emanates a visual rhythm, drawing the beholder into a world where colors dance and stories resonate.

Spriha feels the need to connect with the community around her and build strong relationships with people at various levels through her work and also holding workshops.
