Connection to the theme: "Potluck" features sweet treats like Indian Ladoo and Gulab Jamun, Italian Tiramisu, German Apple Strudel, Japanese Yatsuhashi, Australian mini-Pavlova, Turkish Baklava, and American S’mores, all served on a biodegradable banana leaf. It celebrates how these sweet gatherings transcended cultural barriers, fostering an appreciation for each other's stories and traditions.
Artist Statement: I find joy in working with acrylics and mixed media because of their versatility. My art is inspired by realistic and abstract landscapes, oceans, birds, and neurography designs. Much of my inspiration comes from my visits to various amazing locations and vacation spots. The composition of my landscape paintings is often influenced by the memories and emotions I carry from these places. I also have a collection of intricate designs influenced by traditional Indian Rangoli and Textiles. My recent collection features mixed media paintings with hand-built clay sculptures in shadowbox frames. Incorporating miniature sculptures into my mixed media art pieces has become my newfound passion.
Bio: I’m Preeti Sant, a self-taught, mixed media artist from New Jersey, USA. I've been painting for the last 10 years, and I have recently started showcasing my artwork in and around New Jersey.
