Description
Wisteria Tree House by Lyndsay Lewis
Medium: acrylic paint
Artist Statement: A blossoming wisteria tree sits in a meadow of fluffy goldenrods. It serves as the foundation for the tree house, a structure commonly used for play among children. In particular, it's derived from personal experiences of passing by one specific tree fort from childhood. As the years progressed it slowly fell into ruin, stagnant and abandoned. The wisteria tree in the painting breathes new life into it, turning into a cottage-like tree house overlooking the landscape.
