Artist Statement: The viewer sees a stylized version of Jupiter's Volcanic Moon, Io. The vibrancy of its colors is exaggerated, and Io is slightly out of focus. Whether that is because the viewer or Io is in motion is unclear. Where the viewer is looking out from is left ambiguous as well, though one would expect it to be the window of a spaceship, it could just as easily be the door of a washing machine...Either way, the viewer is not gazing upon Io itself but a dream-like version of it, a little blurry, a little different.
