Artist Statement: Kimberly’s work is about the pure joy she finds in the world around us. She notices the way nature creates rhythms, patterns, and other subtleties through simplicity of form and color, using this as inspiration for her art. This piece "Ponding" is done with a focus on color and placement which nature organically set up for her. Kimberly is a mixed media artist inspired by what she sees on her hikes. She strives to bring life to her art through the use of texture, light, and form. Her work demonstrates her strong influence of a love for the outdoors which stemmed from her family. Her life involves many weekends exploring everything from the coast to the mountains.
