Artist Statement: At this stage of winter I start to crave the blooming colors that are still a ways off. Layers of bright paint, floral fabric, antique paper, and paper and resin flowers create a sense of glowing abundance around the sturdy flea market figurine which reminded me of my great-grandmother Rosa, who wore pink and was fond of roses.
