Artist Statement: A spiral links the precious trees with the quilted star, and with the lotus in the bowl. Language might provide one path of explanation (and underlies the collage itself), yet there is still so much beauty and mystery that cannot be captured in words at all. Here is one of the infinite stories of connection of each thing or person or idea to everything else.
Bio: Eleni Litt (EZL Studio) is a teaching artist in Central New Jersey and the Inaugural Artist-in-Residence at The Athena Advisors, (a consulting firm devoted to social justice). Her approach to teaching and art-making creates communities of creative practice and conversation, for artists and non artists alike that encourages inquiry, curiosity, play, and community connection. She has certificates in Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design, and Creative Arts Therapies from The New School, as well as a PhD in Social Anthropology from the London School of Economics (based on her fieldwork in Greece).
