Artist Statement: My journey as an aspiring artist recently led me to the land of watercolor. I have painted in oil for many years, and began a watercolor class one year ago, which has enhanced this journey of mine in ways I could not have imagined - artistically, emotionally, technically, to name just a few.
Bio: Barbara Weinfield studies watercolor painting with Margaret Simpson, and has studied oil painting with Pietro Smith, John Murdoch, and currently with Zakia Ahmed (since 2013).
Her solo exhibitions include Portraits of New Jersey, (Trenton, NJ) and Time and Place (West Windsor, NJ). Her works have also appeared in several group exhibitions at the West Windsor Arts Council, the former St. Peter’s Hospital (New Brunswick, NJ), the West Windsor Senior Center, and with the Zakia Art Alliance.
