Down by the River by Barry Hantman
This is a circular fused glass composition.
Material: Fused glass
Diameter: 12 inches
“I've been exploring Fused Glass for almost four years. Fused Glass is created by cutting pieces of glass, gluing and layering the glass on top of each other and firing the piece in an electric kiln to fuse the glass. I'm also creating Mixed Media Assemblages of wood, metal and glass and paint into a composition.”
Barry Hantman attended the Philadelphia College of Art and received a BFA in ceramics/jewelry making and attended the Tyler School of Art for an MFA in ceramics/jewelry making. After Graduate School, Barry taught in the Fine Arts Department at Adrian College. Barry has exhibited extensively in New Jersey, Delaware, New York, and Pennsylvania. Barry is currently represented at the Red Bank Artisans Collective and As You Like It Gallery in New Hope, and has artwork in several private collections.
