Artist’s Connection to Theme: During the last several weeks, many of us are going for walks to remember that there's a world beyond our front doors. ADR’s Ray Kopacz is taking that a step further, bringing the outside world inside--and in the process, delivering sunshine and flowers to those who need them most.
Image Description: Planted a wildflower garden during lockdown before a huge summer storm tamped it down - it recovered over the summer.
Ray Kopacz is a Princeton based artist who started drawing on his iPhone when the lockdown began and sent spring scenes to his colleagues to lift their spirits. Early on, he switched to an iPad Mini and continued to do a drawing a day throughout the summer, culminating in a finale in September. Early on, an article appeared on our department website, called The Art of Coping. These drawings are from that series.
Frame: 2-inch matte black wood frame.
