“Used Acrylic in this painting. Some aggressive and freestyle strokes.”
Artist’s Connection to Theme: When I started this painting, my thoughts were full of dark colors. I just kept following the path shown to me by my brain and towards the end of my painting, I felt myself looking for peace and calmness and the end result was so satisfying because I ended up using vibrant and prominent colors with a white finish which represents peace and is a must with this type of work in my opinion and its not complete without it. It shows peace after a heavy storm. Darkness goes away because of light.
Image Description: A journey toward peace like a dawn after a dark night.
Rooma Sehar is a passionate abstract artist. In her paintings, she likes to seize the beauty of unusual objects and places that come into her imagination, or observations or feelings from her everyday life. As an artist color is her tool to speak to the world.
Her journey started in Oct 2018 after a severe postpartum depression. She attended a paint night at a local setting and that was the day colors hit me hard and forced me to think more about colors and painting and she realized this is what she has been missing in her life.
Rooma is inspired by many known artists like Jackson Pollock, Wassily Kandinsky and Franz Klien. They all gave her courage and freedom to paint with her own style without any boundaries.
Frame: No frame, varnished.
