Purple and Gold Box by Mindy Trost, CartaBooks
This box was created using handmade paste papers and cotton batik fabric turned into book cloth. The materials were cut by hand. Cork inlay was added on the top of the box to enhance its appeal! I made this box using archival and acid-free materials. Store chargers, earbuds, sewing supplies, keys, beach or pool tags, membership cards and more in this box.

Mindy Trost has always loved books - whether making books, reading books, writing in books or drawing in books. She discovered bookbinding while attending The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Mindy likes the creative side--choosing colors and patterns, feeling the textures of the papers and fabric--and the structural side--the measuring, sewing, and trimming. Bookbinding pleases both sides of Mindy’s brain equally all at once.
