SUMMARY:Tuesdays: Studio Art Fundamentals One [7-10]
DESCRIPTION:In this fundamentals class, students will be introduced to techniques in drawing, watercolor, acrylic paint, and sculpture. Starting with graphite pencils and oil pastels, Jessica will show students how to draw using basic shapes and how to bring drawings to life by adding light, shadow, and texture. \n\nStudents will transition to watercolor and acrylic painting, learning how to mix paint colors and build value and details layer by layer in their paintings. Finally, students will learn about sculpture using air dry clay. They will be introduced to important clay techniques including coil building and pinching.
